Is Your Dermashine Pro Device TGA-Compliant?
Instantly verify your device’s authenticity and TGA approval status — just enter your serial number.
What Makes a Dermashine Pro Device TGA-compliant?
To be recognized as a TGA-approved (ARTG-listed) medical device, your Dermashine Pro must meet the following requirement:
Legally supplied in Australia or New Zealand by the device’s ARTG sponsor or an authorised distributor appointed by the sponsor.
This includes purchases from Athena BioMed (the current TGA sponsor) or any previously authorised distributor listed on the ARTG. Our system contains the full UDI (serial number) of all compliant devices for verification. Devices that are not supplied through the ARTG sponsor’s authorised distribution channel are not considered legally supplied under TGA regulations, even if the device appears identical.
Using unapproved, illegally supplied, or counterfeit medical devices in Australia or New Zealand is a serious breach of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989, carrying civil penalties up to AUD $888,000, potential criminal charges with up to 5 years’ imprisonment, possible action against your clinical registration, and loss of professional indemnity insurance; practitioners and clinics must ensure all devices are legally supplied and ARTG-compliant.
